Experience the Mystery and Majesty of Amano’s Shinjuku For the first time in over a decade, Yoshitaka Amano (Vampire Hunter D, Sandman: The Dream Hunters) delivers a completely original illustrated novel! Paired with writer/director Christopher “mink” Morrison (Into the Sun, Dust), the team creates a sci-fi thriller that explores the possibilities of two mediums: comics and prose.Set in the year 2020, Shinjuku is the story of Daniel Legend: an American Special Forces soldier turned licensed private bounty hunter. A loner who travels the globe capturing criminals and now must journey to Shinjuku, Tokyo, to save his sister. Armed with only his wits, metal storm pistol, and a cryptic five-year-old postcard, Simon sets out to save his family, but ends up saving the world.“Yoshitaka Amano may be one of the most versatile artists in the commercial art world . . . Amano’s art is simultaneously pop and formally serious.” -- Kai-Ming Cha, Publishers WeeklyShinjuku will be hitting the shelves in the summer of 2009.
